About the role
We are seeking an experienced Centre Manager / Senior Teacher from the enrichment industry to support Write Edge’s exploration of the Hong Kong market. This role combines teaching, centre operations, enrolment and business development, with a strong focus on understanding parent needs, testing curriculum fit and supporting early-stage operations.

This is a hands-on, remote role suited for someone who understands how enrichment centres actually run and enjoys being involved in both classroom and business operations.

The ideal candidate is currently (or previously) in a centre manager or educator role, understands the Hong Kong parent landscape well and is comfortable working in a fast-moving, test-and-learn environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Curriculum Delivery
  • Deliver English / writing lessons to small groups of students
  • Test and adapt curriculum materials to suit Hong Kong learners
  • Provide feedback on lesson structure, pacing, and student engagement
  • Identify areas where curriculum, language use, or expectations may need localisation
2. Centre Operations & Performance
  • Support the setup and smooth running of daily centre operations
  • Implement operational procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Monitor basic performance indicators (attendance, enrolment interest, parent feedback)
  • Flag operational challenges and propose practical improvements
3. Student Enrolment & Admissions
  • Conduct enrolment consultations with parents
  • Support admissions processes and trial classes
  • Work with the team to test enrolment messaging, trial formats, and conversion approaches
  • Provide insights on pricing sensitivity and parent decision-making
4. Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Build strong relationships with parents through clear communication and trust
  • Handle parent enquiries and concerns professionally
  • Gather informal feedback from parents on expectations, preferences, and pain points
  • Support retention and referral efforts through positive parent experience
5. Market Feedback & Local Insights
  • Share insights on competitor offerings, pricing, and positioning
  • Provide regular feedback on:
    • Parent behaviour and expectations
    • Market receptiveness to the programme
    • Operational and staffing realities in HK
  • Contribute to recommendations on programme adjustments and scalability
Others
  • Support the onboarding and integration of new hires to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Work with HR to identify staffing needs and recruitment strategies for different branches.
  • Support special projects and initiatives related to centre operations, process improvements, marketing or business development.

Requirements:
  • Experience as a Centre Manager, Assistant Centre Manager, or Senior Teacher in the enrichment industry
  • Strong understanding of Hong Kong parents and schooling culture
  • Comfortable teaching and engaging parents directly
  • Operationally minded and detail-oriented
  • Able to work independently and communicate insights clearly
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle varied tasks
  • High level communication skills - excellent written and verbal English is a must
  • Good stakeholder management, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative with ideas and strong with execution
